Another critical step towards the clinical use of free 25OH Vitamin D measurement, as a marker for evaluating Vitamin D deficiency, has been recently published by Kerry Jones et al. Future Diagnostics was happy to make a contribution.
While various methods were used over the last decades for measuring free 25OH Vitamin D, the assignment of free 25OH Vitamin D target values to three Standard Reference Materials will allow researchers and clinicians to validate new analytical methods and to compare their results as an initial step towards harmonization of measurements among different studies and laboratories.
